Brinson Thanksgiving 2011 in pictures

Whew. I can't say I'm not glad that's over. Note to self: Never schedule a bathroom remodel the week of Thanksgiving, or any other major holiday. We were so tired from all of the activity and decision making around here that we didn't start cooking until 8am yesterday morning- with the help of a pitcher of mimosas.


Here's a look:

Farm fresh carrots from Native Sun Farm. I added fresh cranberries, and lots of veggie goodness to our dressing this year. I loved it. 

 

 Free range bird. 

 Pecan Pie (by David) is my most favorite dessert, except for a piece of dark chocolate, or two. 

The secret to a moist bird is cheesecloth.
